If you have a static IP you would have gotten it from your salesperson or from one of our tech support agents. They should have given you a specific IP address with a gateway, and Subnet Mask to use. If you are not sure, the easiest way to tell is to visit your “My Account” portal by clicking on the “Log in” tab. Your IP address should be under my services/internet/static IP.
Once you see if you have a static IP assigned, you can visit a site like IPchicken.com, Whatismyip.com, or even typing “what is my IP” in Google and it will give you the current IP that you are using. If the two IPs match then you are using your static IP, if you don’t have a static IP please contact us and we will help you get the services you need.
If you are renting one of our Router/modem combos we can set up the static IP for you. If you have your own router, normally you would need to log into your own equipment and change the settings from automatically assigning a DHCP IP to use the setting for a static IP and enter the settings we gave you.
